Meskla are located southwest of Chania at a distance of 20 kilometers from the city. Administratively they belong to the Municipality of Platanias, and they include the area of Zourva.
They are located on the northern slopes of the Lefka Ori mountain at an altitude of over 200 meters. The area is uniquely located between green hills of olive trees, cypress and lush vegetation in the Keritis Valley, as the river that crosses it is called.
In the area of Meskla, the Tsounati-Mastoidis variety is cultivated in a percentage that ranges over 60-70%. The remaining percentage includes olive groves of Liani-Koroneiki variety.
